![]() The early ’70s were a breakthrough time for this genre, and there was a great revival in the early millennium but there’s been a big drop-off the past few years, leaving a huge gap that needs to be filled. Plenty of series have individual black characters in supporting roles (i.e. Some you might remember from childhood, while others are recent favorites, but the fact of the matter is that there aren’t a LOT of animated series out there now featuring black characters. They’re out there, and they stretch back decades. ![]() In light of the list of politically incorrect racist cartoons we featured recently, we wanted to look at the opposite, the great black animated shows you would want to watch.
